About: National Center for Assistive Health Technology (NCAHT) is an ICMR-funded collaborative project of AIIMS-New Delhi and IIT-Delhi with a mandate for innovation and research in Assistive Health Technologies.

​​

Positions: Up to 4 positions of Project Research Scientists-I (Non-Medical) at NCAHT, AIIMS, New Delhi (previously referred to as Senior Research Fellows: Innovation or SRFs)

​

Duration: One year; starting July 2024 (Full time, on-site), extendable subject to performance and progress

​​

Age limit: Up to 35 years (as on 01-July-2024)

​​

Eligibility criteria (as on 01-July-2024): Candidates with

 

• First class Post Graduate degrees, including integrated PG degrees; such as M.E / M. Tech/

      M. Des or equivalent in a subject relevant to design, innovation, research and development of       

      assistive health technologies

      OR

• Second class Post Graduate degrees, including integrated PG degrees as mentioned above with PhD

      OR

• First class Graduate Degrees of 4-years in Engineering or Design; such as B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Des or equivalent in a subject relevant to the design, innovation, research and development of assistive health technologies

Description: Project Research Scientists-I will work closely with faculty at AIIMS to identify clinical needs, conceptualize solutions and develop novel assistive technologies. NCAHT is looking for candidates who are passionate to innovate assistive technologies and are keen to take the entrepreneurial route to commercialize these technologies.

​

Selected candidates will work in a multidisciplinary team, usually comprising candidates form the fields of design, engineering, and allied health disciplines related to assistive health technology innovation. Accordingly, candidates with qualifications related to these domains and experience related to assistive health technology/ medical devices/ health technology innovation/ start-up experience will be given preference.

​

Emoluments: Rs. 56,000 per month + 27% HRA (as per ICMR guidelines)
